Description

If you've been on Deviantart long enough you've probably noticed people with their fancy language level stamps, right? The language levels are as follows:

- None
- Random Words
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Expert
- Native

After coming across this beautiful stamp someone made for the Latin language: fav.me/d98chnz Roman :la: I thought, well Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs is still not dead, but there aren't any language level stamps for it Cry forever  so I made one.

Note about the flag I chose:

So the Aztecs/Mexica people had several "banners" to represent themselves. I mean, there's this green flag with the eagle, cactus and atl tlachinolli: s697.photobucket.com/user/nemi… but some people think that was invented post conquest, so it seemed risky to use. Obviously the modern Mexican flag would've been the most recognizable,Flag of Mexico Hi-I-am-from-Mexico   but I didn't pick it because it's too colonial and something more pre-conquest looking would be nicer. Besides, it reminds me too much of the Italian flag Hetalia Spinning Italy Pasta Icon Ve~ . Then there are also other flags, like this one: fav.me/d5oe8ng or this www.crwflags.com/fotw/images/m…which represent the 4 directions. I decided it was safest to go with the glyph that represented Tenochtitlan, the prickly pear cactus or tenochtliCactus Blob  on a black background. Some people actually think that the snake was added post conquest as there aren't any codices which show the snake in the eagle's beak. I mean, snakes were sacred to the Mexica as eagles so it would be weird if one of their sacred animals were to be eating the other  ! Sure, there is the story about how the Aztecs built Tenochtitlan where they saw an eagle landing on a cactus with a snake in its beak, but still others doubt the story. It is safest to use Tenochtitlan's glyph. Yes I know Texcoco's Nahuatl was considered purer than Tenochtitlan's and...
you know what? just be glad I made the stamp. If you don't like the flag I chose then make your own stamp :D (Big Grin) .
